Few of Maron's works are created as functional pieces. The following objects were created in response to an experience or person having had a significant effect on the artist's life. Elijah's Chair is an example: "We always set a place and a special cup for Elijah during Passover celebration. I wanted there to be a special chair as well. This effort allowed me to further realize my connection with this great prophet and the Passover holiday." JM
